PRO Retreat

Get ready for the 2008 Annual PRO Retreat in San Francisco!

We’ll kickoff the afternoon with some inspiring and motivating words from New York Times best-selling author Linda Howard, whose career has spanned more than 25 years in the publishing industry. Since 1980, Ms. Howard’s books have been published by Silhouette, Pocket and Random House. She was the recipient of the Romance Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

Join us as we honor and present the PRO Mentor of the Year Award to a deserving member who’s made a significant contribution to PROs.

Next up, check out four up and coming agents as they explain What An Agent Can and Can’t Do For You. They’ll discuss the industry and the agent/author relationship, as well as take questions from the PROs.
Meet Laura Bradford of Bradford Literary Agency, Laurie McLean of Pomada-Larsen Literary Agency, Nathan Bransford of Curtis Brown Ltd. and Barbara Poelle of Irene Goodman Literary Agency.

Lastly, we’ll have Michael Smith, newly named Executive Director of the IDPF. Mr. Smith will speak to PROs on the new growth and change within the digital print industry and what role the romance genre plays in epublishing.
