It’s nearly time for the PAN retreat, and great things are in store for you! PAN’s keynote speaker this year is Gail Blanke, business executive, best-selling author, and life coach. Her columns are featured in Real Simple magazine, and Oprah has devoted a full show to her. Her words about adapting and succeeding in our challenging business environment are bound to inspire.

Our workshops are packed with industry information. Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million and Borders will each have corporate hours to update us on their programs. Panels will include an agent/editor panel on reinventing the author in this changing marketplace, and an editor panel addressing the state of African-American, Latina, and Multicultural Romance. And just in case you’re craving another jolt of inspiration, in a no-holds-barred session, New York Times best-selling author Linda Howard is going to tell us what she really thinks.
